Weekly Oasis: Dare to Dream
I know its been a while! This is a first in many ways. First post for 2013, first post since my trip, first time I'm being productive since I got back from my trip! I was just going through my trip photos (none of which I have posted except for the ones from birthright) and I saw this picture from Venice. I thought it would be a good story for a weekly oasis.
A nicer version of this photo was my desktop photo at work from the second I decided I was going to visit Venice. I chose the photo because something in my head was nagging me. I had booked the trip, I had the hotel, I had the transportation but something was missing. Faith, belief, acceptance? There it was in front of my face for weeks. Every body that walked by my desk asked where the photo was and when I told them it was Venice and I was going there I myself didn't believe it. Even when they told me they were jealous I wanted to say "I know me too" like it wasn't going to be me standing there on the Rialto Bridge in a few weeks time. I got to Venice and I was obsessed with every canal, boat, street, alley way, EVERYTHING. It was just so magical even through the epic down pour that I would get caught in every day.
So the very last day I walked up the bridge and took this picture. The same one that was on my desktop. Not proof that I was there but proof to myself that I can do it. Anything. Any time I think I can't or there's no way I will remember this photo because I did it. On my own, when I wanted and how wanted. So this week dare to dream. Put it in front of you and don't tell yourself no. Instead ask when where and HOW because where theres a dream theres a way.
